See attached video. I'm considering buying this 1970 Airstream. When I jump on the back bumper the body doesn't quite go with the frame. I am assuming this means there is rear end separation. Is this correct? There are some signs of water damage throughout, but I didn't find the floor to be soft anywhere.
Yes it is, but it's not too bad for an 1970's Airstream. The separation and the cause will have to be repaired but if you are planning on gutting this trailer you will gain access to the frame, c-channel and floor to make the necessary repairs related to the frame separation (and of course everything else that needs to be done.) On the other hand, if you are in the market for a "camping ready trailer" this is probably not it.
