Installing insulation ABOVE the subfloor
We have used our trailer in the MN winter (never above freezing while we were out). There was a big difference in the floor temps between the back of the trailer where the insulation had been removed along with the plumbing compared to the middle and front of the trailer. We plan on insulating below the floor. Product yet to be determined. I recall reading that the Forbo Marmoleum Click has insulating properties. Can't recall if there was an R value. Window treatments are another thing that we factor in for winter use. A lot of heat escapes through the glass. Discussed that we might try some bubble wrap over the windows on our next winter trip. That would let in light and provide insulation. The options are endless. It all depends on how and where you use your trailer.
