In the rear bedroom, by the big window. I have a chronic leak. When it dries up, it is not bad. Really fixing the leak is the solution.

Once you find the leak, if the floor is not tottaly shot you can use Rot Doctor to fix the floor in place. I have used it and am very happy with the results. WWW.rotdoctor.com??

(Yes, I fixed the leak yesterday. I will adjust all other windows too, but it seems that was the only leaking one as it was the only one seriously misadjusted. The others aren't too bad) Moral of the story --- adjust your windows so they are tight.

They only sell direct, but the pricing is cheaper than the stuff you would buy at a marine store. It also works better IMHO.

I had a large patch of damage in the front of the motorhome behind the pass. seat. There had been a leak there for along time. I used most of a 1/2 gallon of the mix on it and was able to get it firmed up. The floor was still a bit hollow feeling, so a few weeks later I then filled the floor with fiberglass resin to make it solid again. Now it is as solid as the rest of the floor and I did not have to do major surgery.

The chipboard in many of our coaches, and to a certain extent, plywood, tends to just disapate when wetted repeatedly. So by the time it is discoved, a 3/4" piece of material may be 3/8" thick in spots.

It is my feeling - no test results, just feeling - that Rot Doctor is able to restore something very close to the strength the wood had originally, considering the amount of material remaining. So a piece of chipboard that is now only, say, generally 1/2" thick is not going to be as solid and strong as the original 3/4" material around the affected area. But it may very well be nearly as strong as new 1/2" material.

I have been really impressed with Rot Doctor.
