How subfloor and shell fit together....

The aluminum piece that sits directly on top of the outriggers has an opening where the subfloor slides right in and then carriage bolt goes through the outrigger, through the aluminum, through the subfloor, and through the piece of aluminum again. The problem in this puzzle is that I can't pull the shell off and install the subfloor. I have to install the subfloor with the shell on so I can fit it into this groove. I do realize some of the outriggers in the photos need to be replaced.

So am I looking at this correctly?

You can still pop the shell if you want. It actually may help you repair the frame. I believe you slide them in from the front and back where the channel just sit on the floor

If you are doing a shell off, you must remove the channel from the shell by drilling out the hundred or so buck rivets on the outside.
