How bad is slight separation?

I got a 68 safari twin ly for Christmas. Figuring things out. The bumper jump shows maybe a little sinking, separation I guess, streetside and none curbside. We haven't driven far with it, just home from the other side of the county and to an installer of brake controller. Maybe 40 miles. Is it dangerous?

Probably not. If by a “little” you mean a quarter inch, I would stressed about it. It is something to monitor, but you could tow thousands of miles before it gets appreciably worse. At least that’s my experience.
