Hitch Paint Color Match

I have a 2005 Safari with some rust spots on the hitch frame. I want to clean them up before they get too bad and was wondering about matching the paint. Is there a source for a spray touch-up version of this paint or a way to match it without taking it to a body shop? The paint is a kind of gray-brown color and seems to be standard on most late model Airstreams.

Thanks John. I tried several search combos but didn't get good results. Your search recommendation worked great!

You too goin Camping? To get rid of the rust I used this stuff called EXTEND rust neutralizer made by Loctite that I picked up at Home Depot. It comes in a spray can. It's easy to use and works really well to knock the rust out. Now I just need a topcoat for it.

I don't have rust...yet. The WD brackets shifted and tore up the paint on the frame. Got to repaint before the rust comes.

That was my first touch up also. I look for rust every month or so and fix it right then and there. I don't let it get started.

Went to my Airstream Dealer in Paso Robles(Sky River RV) and they sold me an official Airstream 12 oz. can of frame color paint for $16.49. Expensive, but this quality automotive paint.

The color is called Dupont Metallic Gray. Part No. 360151-01.

I didn't think the gray on my AS was metallic but I guess it is because it matches great.

Are you as happy with Skyriver as I am? My experiances there were A-1.

I actually bought my AS at Toscano RV in Los Banos because they had what I was looking for. Sky River gets my parts and service business because they are only 15-20 minutes away from me.

I had a short in the trailer brakes that Toscano was unable to resolve. Sky River got it's teeth into it and didn't quit until it was resolved. So...yes! I am happy with them. They have a great slection of new Airstreams now, including 2 Basecamps. I'm dying to stop by and check them out.

Hey, I think I have a can left from my Safari which I no longer have. I'll get it to you if I can find it. PM me tomorrow if you don't hear from me.
