I have seen several threads about using the gantry method to remove the shell off an Airstream. Can it also be used on an Argosy (26' 1972 Argosy)? The only method I've seen used on Argosy's is jacking them up. But I like the looks of the gantry method. I've looked through a bunch of posts and there might already be an answer to my question but I couldn't find it. Thanks.
An Argosy is basically the same shell build as any other AS of the same vintage. The only difference in the shell/frame from what I understand is the front and rear end cap is galvanized steel vs aluminum.
The gantry method would be my preferred route regardless of what trailer I am working with. There is nothing so different about an Argosy that would make any difference with respect to how you lift the shell.
