is there any where online that I can view a frame of the 31 sovereign to get the general measurements spacing. If not how many main members are there; and what is the spacing between them. Thanks.
There is a picture of the frame floating around somewhere, I think in one of the popular trailer books. I'll try to find it. It shows the frame and skeleton from the right front. It's a view that doesn't normally exist, since the the trailer isn't built in that sequence. To get spacing for the frame members you can look at the rivet lines inside and outside and the bolt lines on the floor.

I have a '77 Excella that I took the belly pan off and measured where all the cross members and outriggers were. I've got that data somewhere. I could dig it up and send to you if you like. I would imagine they're the same. I was planning to build a new frame for mine and wanted to find out where all the stations were. In general, the outriggers are located on 24" centers. Cross members are generally 48" on center. There are exceptions to both, but that is the general arrangement.
This is a little unorthox, I bought this sovereign from a fellow who purchased it for salvage. It was in St Pete and one of hurricanes that came through dropped a tree right down the middle of the back. He was parting it out on eBay when I found it. I bought what was left for $700 and I'll have the nose end which has the living room and I'm thinking I can get back to the 16 or 17 ft mark which is where the center bath is. I want to cut it off at that point.
Now the plan: I think that I'll have about 2500 lbs of airstream left. I will also want to drop the belly plan and reduce some weight where possible.
But this Baby is going to be a tree house. It's not going to be delivered for a couple of weeks so I'm trying to spot where I want my telephone poles to get this girl about 10 feet off the ground. I'm also gonna need to locate the front 3 windows, because those were sold off. I really appreciated your fast response.
Cool. What else goes with the tree house? Tarzan swings, sprial slide, crows nest? Can I come over and play?

Sure Marshal Your getting the general idea. Let the Imagination run. Polished aluminum and a firemans pole to come down. only access from a cable off the deck of my house 50 ft away. I've got a couple of neon palms for my deck. This tree house is gonnab
Wow!!!, that is a really useful schematic. Now when I do the surgery: I have been told that a skill saw works better than a sawzall to cut through the skin. I have to separate this at the rib after the midsection bathromm. Any feedback is appreciat4ed
I think electric shears would get throgh the skin quick and easy

thanks, I was thinking of the electric shears.. Well a wiz wheel means something different to me. I guess that I would ask for it a supply house. Some told me they use a skill saw blad and it got ben up when it hit he wiring harness. To me it seems like the electric sherars could avoid hiting the wire harness. Not sure about a wiz wheel. I think you could control the depth of cut.
