Frame repair and POR 15 on rotating support - 1963 Globetrotter
I am have started work on the frame of my GS project. Complete axle replacement, repair of the frame and outriggers, and POR 15 rust treatment is planned. I have seen some threads in the past where people have suspended or mounted the frame in a way that it can be spun on it's longitudinal axis so welding/grinding/and coating can be done without working from underneath on a creeper. I have not searched but not found a thread here describing it or how to do it. I think it will really help the frame repair, and may also help with work on the subfloor and to flip the trailer for belly pan work. Any ideas on how people have done this in the past? Take a look at my trailer. I was left with a jury rigged rear bumper with a generator mount and spare tire mount welded on. It is solid with good welds. It will probably go with the renovation, but I thought the wheel mount and an old axle could be incorporated into some type of rig. Does anyone have a different idea?
