Hello,
Almost done ripping the guts of our trailer out. I have a lot of questions on how to proceed from here, but let me begin with this one; I need a picture or a description as to what my frame should look like. After pulling back about 10 inches of dry rot from the front, I thought I'd find a beam running staright down the middle. But nothing so far.Its a 69 27ft overlander international. Any help out there? Thanks, Mark

We have a detailed shop manual that pictures our unit. Not sure when they started making them.
Have you tried to look up a detailed manual in the search window? Google?
If one is not available consider that you have what you have. Not to be silly but the old is an excellent template for where you are going. Some times it is better to fix problems and keep things the same. There are excellent people here to advise you. Pictures always draw comments.

Here are some pics of a '73 Sovereign.

Your's ought to be the same.

There are two main frame rails, 5" rolled C-channel approximately 60-61" apart, connected by 4" tall crossmembers every 24". There are 14" long outriggers jutting out from the frame rails to support the walls of the coach.

The main frame rails are welded to the A-frame and run the entire length of the coach to the bumper.

You can see in the picture below where the fresh water tank sits just forward of the axles, supported by 2" angle and a 1" plywood platform. The black tank will be found between the main frame rails just forward of the trunk. (Assuming a rear bath)
