Flooring replacement

Hi fellow airstreamers!! I have pulled part of rear flooring out of my 34 airstream classic. (rear section)
I notice the OSB wood was pushed into aluminum channel in side walls at the bottom. etc.
How can I remove the old OSB wood in the channel?
I want to do a proper job!!!

I would really appreciate you feed back!!!

You take it out a chip at a time, hammer, chisel, pliers, and other hand tools.

The vibrating "multi-tool" type tools work well. I have one from Harbor Freight that I have used countless hours. It was the best thing I found to get the old rotten, in my case plywood, flooring out of the c-channel. Buy good blades, they last much longer than the one that came with it.

Hi Bill, I have one of those sonic powered vibortory tools, and it was very useful in my project this winter replacing a soft OSB section of floor in the rear of our 86 34' Airstream. I call it my "plunge cut" tool.

The bad spot was under the street side twin bed. I found it more difficult to get the new floor inserted in the channel that getting the rotted stuff out. I had to sand to get it to fit tight. I drove it all the way in with a hammer. I replaced the bad section of flooring in three sections, using the frame rail and cross members for support and anchor points.

My soft spot was due to a leaky taillight fixture, now fixed. Always something.
