Floor Repair

Randy: You can't tow it with the floor off. In the '59s the floor is bolted to the frame, and the body is bolted to the floor. The floor is all that holds the assembly together.

Mark,
Different paints have different base polymers depending on the application.
For example, if you want a cheap paint you would get a polyvinyl acetate; If you want UV resistance than an acrylic would fit the bill. For heat resistance, the base polymer would be a phenolic.
If you wanted super adhesion, than go the epoxy route.
High end truck chassis get neoprene for corrosion resistance, but it is expensive.

Mark,
Isocyanates are a whole different VERY expensive ball game, there are 2 basic types, both noted for adhesion and toughness, and both allow for a very wide lattitude in formulating for properties desired.
If yours was designed to protect steel, than I'm sure that you made a good choice, and you will be happy with its performance.

Floor replacement

Nothing but the best,
for the old A/S.

Lots of people are using isocyanate (POR15), but the original black gunk that Airstream used in 1959 also held up pretty well.
