Floor replacement

I have cut out a section of the floor in my Argosy because it was damaged by water. I made a replacment out of plywood but it seems more flexible that the rotted floor that was in there! Is there a better material to be using for floor replacement? I thought a plywood with the same number of layers would do.

I still have to put a subfloor over it so I can finish laying the parquet flooring back down. Just want to make sure I am doing this right since I had to almost destroy my galley cabinets.

Is the thickness of the new plywood the same as the old?

Yes it is. It is 1/2 inch. The area i replaced is under the cabinets where the furnace would sit so I am not too worried about it. I am just happy that there is no longer a 6 inch hole where mice could get in!

Do you have any pics of the area to be patched?

You may be able to screw a 2x4 on the back (underside) of the plywood as a stiffener.
