Found a good welder after 2 others screwed things up. The first one started making the tank frames, measured wrong and used alot of new material then never came back. The second one was better, but he broke a leg. Finally found this man who seems to know what he's doing and wants to work.

He's created the trunk and cross beam. My job was clean-up and pre and post grinding.

All the tank beds are done along with the trunk base and cross beam. He is working tomorrow to put in the rest of the braces the tanks will screw into so I can lower the tanks later if need be. I don't think I've seen this approach, but I think it will work well. I'll get more pictures to show these "tabs/braces" he's created and his final trunk cover idea.

He's also decided what he's going to do with the trunk so water is diverted from the floor. I showed him photo's of the flashing others have done. We'll see what he comes up with. It's going to be hard to be at work knowing he's making his own decisions. Plus, I prefer he has someone at the shop for fire watch while he's welding.
