Factory Install: Linoleum Or Wood Laminate?

Newbie in need of quick advice. Found floor rot in the rear of my 2008 28' International CCD. After having it a whole two weeks. While at the factory tour I had them assess and left it there.
Now I have to decide between Linoleum (currently on, but no longer have same color) or wood laminate. The price is almost the same for both. Which is a little over 4K. Pro's and Con's for both would be appreciated. I'm leaning laminate right now.

Dear Malinois,
We have a 28' International as well. 2004. We have some floor rot that we can no longer ignore. There is no way I can deal with doing the repair myself, so I need a good repair facility. The local dealer says it could cost as much as $17,000 depending on what he finds as he opens up the floor. What is your experience with the factory? Quality, timing, honesty and price?

We have had wood in three rigs. It was very nice but now we have vinyl flooring. It is easier to care for, clean and no worries about spills.

I am quite new to the world of Airstreams so I cannot for the life of me fathom why it would cost anywhere near $17,000 for linoleum! What is so special about the Linoleum used? Armstrong linoleum goes for about $3.50 a foot, so in a 22 ft trailer it would cost about $370 tops. What am I missing?

You guys should check out P&S trailer in Helena, Ohio. Good prices and great workmanship. P&S is about 75 miles north of Jackson Center, between Bowling Green and Fremont Ohio on Rt. 6. Call them at 419-638-6261. They have been working on Airstreams since the 1960s.

Not only ridiculously expensive but very cheap thin vinyl. We tore it out and replaced it with Ceramitique tiles from Home Depot. My husband did a wonderful job with the installation all the way through the BA.

We put new Armstrong Linoleum (the real stuff, not laminate) in our trailer. We have it in our home's kitchen too and it is great! It's hard wearing and easy to maintain. I imagine it is lighter in weight than a wood laminate but I'm not sure.
