Exposed Subfloor Under Doorway?

I was inspecting under my Safari 25 and noticed that the bottom of the subfloor under the entrance door frame is exposed. The trailer is 10 years old and the exposed plywood does not appear to be damaged from the exposure. I am considering coating the exposed plywood with an epoxy. Have any of you seen any problems from this area of exposure or sealed it up?

I also noticed the gap between the banana wraps and the outriggers around the entrance steps that others have identified and closed in. Surprisingly there is no sign of water intrusion in this area but it is an area for mice and bees to enter the belly pan. I can see a wasp nest just inside the belly pan in this area. These gaps probably provide some level of ventilation but the trade off is a ready entrance for the varmints. Luckily I have not seen any indications of any rodents yet but I have placed Cab Fresh rodent repellent around the wheel wells on both sides. I have read good reviews on Cab Fresh and the local farmers I know tell me they have used it successfully.

If you seal the underside any leaks or rainstorm & open door events that wet the plywood will have less surface area to dry back out... If it were my 10-year-old trailer I think I might spray it with scotchguard waterproof spray and keep going, that spray will allow air flow and drying but resist any liquid water.

My '73 had a sheet of aluminum shielding the plywood underside inbetween the outriggers at the entrance step and all it managed to do was hold a puddle of water under the plywood for xy˛ months. It was ugly.
