Cutting Out Damaged Flooring?

I am curious what others have used to cut out sections of damaged flooring. With all the new types of tools available (battery circular saws, Rotozip, Dremel, oscillating saws) there certainly are a lot of options. Any thoughts or pictures?

For small areas I use a Dremel Saw. It is a vibrating thing that I like to refer to as a bone saw. You can make plunge cuts with it without worry about hurting what is underneath. Once you get a decent size hole, you can use a jig saw or a saws all. If the floor is rotten over a large area especially at the back, consider a more permanent repair.

A circular saw (battery or plug-in), set the thickness of the plywood, will probably give you the straightest and cleanest cut. Assuming you want a straight cut that is. Setting like this will let you cut over the top of the framing members without damaging them or the saw. Use it to cut as close to the corners of the opening as you can, and then use a jig saw, oscillating saw, or even a saws-all to finish the corners. I would use an oscillating saw if the corner is on top of the frame.

My flooring is OSB. I just scooped out the damaged area with a big spoon. I did trim around the edges of the hole with a jig saw.

I use a sawzall most of the time.
A harbor Freight multi tool is very useful also as you can plunge cut around the bolts and then cut off the bolts after the big pieces are removed
