Man that thing is short. Looks like you did a good job but I'm wondering about the wheels. What's it sitting on now? Looks like it would just about fit in the bed of my truck and then it wouldn't need wheels.
I posted photos in my photo gallery finally but still cant get them in the forum it tells me to enter my url i dont know. But im proud of my little tin bubble.
Try following these instructions and see if that helps. I would love to see more construction pictures.

I really like the large side window!! A set of tandem Mini wheels would look real cool and would sit low enough to interfere less in the door opening area.

I ended up cutting the airstream to the left of the door and left a 2 inch extra extra overhang on the outer skin and i did it right at the brace that goes from side to side then i just unriveted the back and left the brace that went from top to bottom on both sides.I slide the back half under the 2 inch overhang from the front and sealed and riveted it back together. Where i put it back together i have the brace from the front and the back for extra support. Then I cut the frame to match the body.It was some hard work but I was able to lift the back half up by myself and move it forward. I plan on putting a toilet and a shower in it and a bed in the front and a small kitchen in the back with a two burner stove top and a instant hot water heater with a small kitchen sink.
Right now im in the process of cutting the fender well out under the door the original fender well needed 2 inches for the tire to clear to be able to change it.So im going to cut the door jam where the fender well starts and stops and put a pin on one side and a hinge on the other that way if i need to change a tire all i have to do is open the door and pull the pin and swing that door jam piece out of the way and change it.Im doing this because i dont want to cut the door.
Congrats on a nice execution of a great idea. I mean, just think about it. You could plan out exactly what you wanted the layout to be in your dream trailer, and the length, then go buy one of those monster 30 footers people seem to be trying to give away, shorten it up and get the windows where you want it, and come out with the perfect trailer. You might not want it to be 10ft, you might want to create your own perfect 20ft trailer with big windows and vistaviews. Heck, you could even do wrap arounds on both ends by chopping up two trailers and using both front ends. Cool idea.
WooHoo! You've just created an art form for those totalled trailers hit by trees. AND you can sell the unused aluminum for recycling to pay for a little bit of the cost.
Of course you COULD get a similar look by painting a Casita silver!
It IS an intreguing idea, and sure a great "easy tow, weekender" camper.
Thanks, I enjoyed this thread. Karma coming your way.
