Bathroom Clearout--GLUE!!!

Darnitall, our tub was glued down!

Getting it out in one contiguous piece took about 5 hours work! So verrrry frustrating! But its free now and while we found little problems, the back floor looks fairly decent. But this puts us in spitting distance of finishing up our interior demo!

Cool Bloggin'

Dear Mary, I love your blog...when you write so recent to having done the work the emotion and exhaustion really come through. Also, I like the way you and Rick tag-team your projects. Best of luck, Steve

I love them all!

I never knew what a blog was exactly, till I learned here. Steve, yours is a great read too - how bad was the screen door to do. I imagine rolling the black rubber while someone else holds it must be a bear. I'm thinking of doing our too.

Mary - I'm having a great time reading about your adventures. I know all about how one project lead to another...and another and...well, you get the picture. My bathroom was supposed to be a quick replumb...well, those cabinets can't be all that hard to redo, and then - YUCK - 30 years of dirt back there, old mousetraps, petrified soaps, and a cheap watch! No notes to God though...hope Karen made out all right! Fun reading - you should publish a book about your adventures!

Take care all!
Marc

Mary's blog is awesome.
It is sort of like reading an Airstream horror novel that will have a happy ending!

Wow, thanks for reading! It actually has been very motivating to keep working--plus I've got some good feedback.

Steve, I've been reading yours--I was so impressed by how much you accomplished in such a short time in the middle of the winter. Your photo of the battery box was a revelation to us--our battery box was outside, failed to fit any modern battery, blocked off the possibility of a spare tire holder (blocked the hitch) and was corroded. So, even though your battery box was a mess, it gave us inspiration...what about making our own battery box where the furnace used to be? Sounds like a plan to us!

Marc--starting up a blog is easy. Go to Blogger.com and start up your own account. To post photos, you'll need to download and install (in order) Picasa2 and Hello from http://www.google.com/options/. Posting pictures is a two step process: go into Picasa, highlight the photo and click the blogger icon. Then go to Hello, click the photo and add a caption, then click "publish." It's in there!

Gorgeous day today...Spent today working the windows and goofing off. Did a really fun project--faux painted the gas tanks aluminum colored. They look great, but I don't want to put the stickers back on. I wonder if I'd get arrested if I left them off?

Mary

Ha! Poor Rick! He doesn't realize we'll both be thrown in the slammer for taking the stickers off our propane tanks...and probably get another 7-11 for taking the labels off our pillows and comforters! Maybe we can get a shared cell...

Three hots and a cot. Maybe they will allow us to alumaclad the interior of the cell. That will help with Airstream withdrawl.
