I know what they said Spoke to Clancy boy on the phone today. Since he was venting a little, I will wait and let him tell the story.
I still know it will all have a happy ending.

i thought that I've read on this forum that the 22' and the 16' are built with OSB board instead of the plywood used in the rest of the line, for some reason. It would be nice to know why, if that's true.

It's a big job but they can do it.

We had to go up there last fall with our 22'. http://www.airforums.com/forums/f42/...-oh-58049.html I hated to have to spend the $, but we want to use this great trailer for a long time. It took the good people at JC a week to pull out the furniture, fix the floor, find the leaks, and put it back together. http://www.airforums.com/forums/f456...ter-59831.html

How long will they be working on your trailer?

Sorry to keep you waiting on my response. I elected to drive straight home and have a full day off with the family. 13.5 hours straight through from JC, Ohio to Kiln, MS. I have to do it again in 2 weeks. Full days off at home are rare for me.

I will refrain from open comment on the negotiation process until I can talk to AS Public Relations.

The estimate was more than fair - better - by far - than I got from AS dealers repair shops or a top notch RV service center near my home. On top of that, having the AS service team who know these things inside and out is a major plus. The Service Techs I met were great.

I have a strong feeling my earlier comments on here on this visit were observed and mis-interpreted by middle level service management. I felt a little pounced on, kind of like "this is the guy". The smiles and good will I witnessed to other customers were not offered to me. There is ample public information and hard evidence that there was a real technical flaw with this model.

Much more later, Mike

Jackson Center

Carol & I enjoyed meeting you at the factory. Hope all works out well for you.
After our life threatening experience with their poor quality we will never allow them to work on our trailer again. I can't recall if we told you but we had left the trailer there to install a new furnace plus many other items . When we returned to pick up the trailer on Sunday we tested the new furnace and when it ignited we smelled gas in the trailer. Monday morning they looked at it and found that the service tech when installing the adapter plate on the outside had drilled though an internal gas line in the furnace. So when you call for heat you get raw propane leaking into the trailer. They installed another new furnace and this tech pressure tested the system as it should have been done the first time. We left Jackson center about 1:30 on Monday and arrived home on Tuesday afternoon.

Well, I see some things never change at the mother ship. You'd think if they are following these forums that close they would realize that everyone is on Mike's side and they are just doing more bad PR for themselves the way they treat folks. What is it that Forrest Gump's mother used to say...SIASD.

The new sub-floor will be plywood. I will get the new floor covering material also - the old floor covering was just too far gone.

Called today - the frame enhancements have been welded on and they begin to put in the sub-floor today - looks like a Monday pickup is just too soon.

Looks like taking this unit back to the MOTHERSHIP was the best posible option for this repair. There was more damage than I expected and they replaced more of the flooring than was planned. Sounds like she is coming along very well and I hope to have her back by late next week. Wonder if she is getting looked at by the folks up there for the rally...... Hummmm, I should of left a cup to collect donations to help pay for all this.
