Smile Argosy floor out..

Hello everyone.. Hubby Marvin is in the process of taking the front floor out of our Argosy.. leak at vent pipe and has run to the front for ++ years .. floor rotten under window and outrigger near door is rusted right off.. having a new one fabricated and welded on.. inner walls for front removed .. all underbelly off back to the wheels.. frame is in great shape except for this outrigger.. all insulation removed..all new underbelly to be put on.. next weekend.. we will be painting the frame with Por15 prior to new floor in front part. All is going well so far.. New underbelly in the back already.. hoping to have it painted this fall but may have to wait until spring... This rest of the floor in great shape.. have inspected every square inch it seems.. A lot of work but it will be like a new trailer.. Slate click flooring going in after the front floor is fixed.. Will wait to do that .. after we have had a good rain just to make sure the leak is fixed.. this leak has been like trying to find a needle in a haystack.. will post some pics later.. Annie and Marvin

Question Frame has 2 X 4

Hello everyone.. Has anyone taken the floor out of their Argosy.. and found the above fastened into the frame in the middle of the trailer.. this is original.. the underbelly had never been off before.. I was just curious about this.. new floor is cut and fitted into place .. 2 new outriggers fabricated and will be welded in by the Hubby Marvin tomorrow.. What I really want to know is what has everyone used to replace the plastic edging that goes around the interior panels.. ours is all broken and disintegrating.. it gives the finished edge.. what would anyone suggest.. ?? Annie
