Anyone tried COREtec plus vinyl plank flooring?

We're trying to decide on a flooring for our 75 Tradewind. Has anyone heard of this? We just discovered COREtec plus vinyl plank flooring by US Floors. It sounds good. Advertised to be an entirely new category of vinyl called Engineered Luxury Vinyl flooring. Has 4 layers. Constructed with WATERPROOF extruded core board. Will never swell when exposed to water. COREtec Plus is inert and dimensionally stable, says it will not expand or contract. Drop and click, glueless. We talked to someone at a Carpet/Flooring store about it, but they don't really know trailers. Check it out at usflooringllc.com They have wood flooring styles as well as some stone looks. Nice look.

We just bought some vinyl plank floating floor from lowes for the same reason. Waterproof and should wear like iron. Have a ways to go on the rear before it goes in though....

I'd like to see some in real life, but it doesn't look like they have much of a distribution network.

Anyone tried Coretec Plus in the last 2 years since this thread was started? I'm looking at samples today.

I looked at it and decided to not use it.
I did not like that they are deceptive in advertising. They call their company USFloors, but if you look at their packaging or on their material specification sheets it says "MADE IN CHINA".

It has a heavy wear layer so it has a lifetime residential warranty. It's about 8mm thick so hopefully I won't have to shim everything that once sat on the carpet. From what I can tell the carpet and padding was about 1/4" thick compressed.

I should be fully waterproof now!

What kind of glue did you use for the flooring? I used Allure click together vinyl flooring & have separation in one area. It happened this winter (we live about an hour from you straight west). I'm wondering if you had any separation this winter on your flooring? If not, I may have to follow suit & glue mine!Click image for larger version

Glueing Coretec

The glueing would be a big issue for me due to my husbands sensitivity. I am reading a lot of reviews with issues with this flooring, am now looking back into the Armstrong products. It also sounds as though the installer is key, which would not be me. We live in Tucson, so standing up to heat more important than cold.

My concern is expansion and shrinkage due to temperature differential. For example, we took a piece of 4" X 4" vinyl plank flooring from Home Depot; measured it with a micrometer; placed it in our freezer for an hour then measured it again. It shrunk 0.080"
If my math is correct, that means a shrinkage of 1.44" over 9'.
Totally unacceptable.
Hope this helps someone,
Richard

I used COREtec flooring in a house renovation and really loved it. I wouldn't hesitate to use it in a house or a trailer. My AS reno will use their subsidiary company's product, SMARTCORE, at half the price per square foot, just because I don't think I need to spend that much. But if I had the budget, I would use COREtec.
