Anyone installed a frame stiffener kit?

1976 29' rear bath that has developed tail sag.

If I were to install a frame stiffener kit, do I have to remove the existing axle mounting plate (the one with the big holes that is welded to the frame just over the axles) or can I just bolt frame stiffener kit to the frame and leave the axle mounting plate in place?

The question is why is it sagging? Is the frame still attached to the rear of the trailer? It is common for corrosion and floor rot to cause the rear end to separate. The frame is very week without the body to support it. The 70's model trailers seem to have the most problems because of adding a gray water tank without increasing the strength of the frame. Once the frame separates from the body, the frame will bend.

The frame "beef up kit" is very nice.

But it will not do one single thing for rear end separation.

But it will waste your time and money and, add unnecessary weight to the trailer.
