Hello all -
I am fairly new to the forum and this is my first post -- I recently purchaced a
1964 Tradewind and plan on redoing most of it -- so I have many questions -- first off I am going to replace the floor - (Body on) and am wondering if anyone has used anything except plywood ?? On my boat I used a product from a company called space age synthetics -- Its a fiber reinforced Urethane Composite that is lighter and stronger than plywood and is water and mold resistant and will not rot - the website is
www.spaceagesynthetics.com -- this product has been on my boat transom for about 6 years and looks just like the day I put it on - Has anyone here used this on there trailers ??? I think that it would be a one time replacement even if your trailer developed a leak it would not effect the integrity of your floor - So that being said -- does anyone have any advice for replacing floor (body on) -- Tips, Hints, Do and Donts????
Thanks again
Scott
