Adhering vinyl to painted plywood

After replacing the rotten floor and and leveling the sheets i painted two coats of oil base floor paint to seal in old wood smell and hopefully protect the plywood from future leaks, spills, ect. Looks good, smells good but will the vinyl I plan to install stick to it ?. I plan to lay the vinyl down under everthing else so most of the outer edges will be covered of course. I have read lots of posts on the buckling nightmares people have had and plan to use the sheet vinyl that gets completely glued down not the free floating type. Anybody had good or bad expierences doing this?.
