'53 silver streak clipper shell off pipe frame

the subfloor is shot and all outriggers rusted out and belly pan fell off. luckily the shell is in amazing condition.
i think the only way to go about this project is shell off. i am not familiar with pipe frame construction or how silver streaks are put together. any help would be much appreciated. thanks.

thank you lee. i saw that one too. looks like most pipe frames were created equal, airstream or silver streak. the wee wind link that the Iowa Boys did is about what i'm to get into. -they make it look so easy.

Isn't that always the case. Kind of like on the home improvement shows, you can remodel anything in a half an hour.

The latest issue of Airstream Life showed some of the work David Winick did to renew the pipe frame on his Wee Wind project. Many people recommend replacing the pipe frame with a ladder frame, but if DWinick is willing to refabricate a pipe frame, then I'd day that's a decent way to go, too.

Good luck!
