1968 Overlander Rear Bathroom floor

I have a rotted floor at the back of the van, starting above the battery. I have removed the sink cabinet, the WC, and the rear 'inner wall' (which creates the rear trunk space.

What I don't know is how the floor is supported - I imagine there are joists but I don't know how they run, or how they are spaced. It looks as if I should be able to cut out the rotten area and replace with sound wood if I can find the joists. There are the remains of an iron cross member (maybe a 1" by 1" L piece running the width of the van at floor level right bat the back. Does this have a purpose to support the floor at the rear edge - I'm not sure if the wood floor extends right back to this cross member. If there was any wood there, it was the first to rot away.

The supports for the rear fender look pretty rusty and the whole thing does not feel solid. How does the bumper and support assembly fit to the main frame?

Are there any manuals, drawings, showing how this Overlander was put together.

Thanks for any help you can give me on this project :-)
