Gosh, reminds me of Love Story, the movie, from when, 69?

Sad to see a much loved project set aside but great new to know it's gone to a new and loving home with the probability of completion.

Merry Christmas.
Barry

Hey everyone, I'm really glad to hear that there's still a strong passion for such an awesome Airstream! I am sad that I had to let her go, but I couldn't be happier that she is in such capable hands now and will be completed.

I saw some different comments on what happened to me... so here's the story; my life and work took me to New York City. I moved to Manhattan and was working in TriBeCa. It's a crazy city and a lot of fun, but not very friendly to cars, let alone giant trailers As mentioned I wasn't entirely sure how long I would be in Gotham and was leary to store the trailer indefinitely (I really did not want to see it rot somewhere, forgotten). That's why I sold it. My work has only just recently now taken me to Boston and I think I'll be there for a while. Once I get a little more settled I may be taking on another vintage trailer project. It's really a disease! Once when I was riding the train in New York, I was venturing to one of the outer burroughs (out in Brooklyn) and this particular train was above ground; I spotted a small mid-60's airstream wedged into a very tight space in a TINY backyard and almost jumped out of the train. And of course, I went to see the Bambi that was on display at MoMA. Like I said... addicted.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and I really can't wait until Spring to see more progress on this awesome two-door trailer.

Glad to here that you are safe and sound, but streamless. Thanks for filling in the blanks.

Have a wonderful holiday season...

ank,

thanks for the update. i actually thought about your project often over this past several months wondering what ever happened.

i grew up in NH and went to school in boston, lived there for eight years. i sure wish i had an airstream when i was growing up there. there's so many things to see in new england, it really is a special part of the US.

good luck and hope to see you around here soon, with another airstream in tow

greetings

Glad to hear your well Andy. The cruiser is coming along slowly. Wish my work at the hospital did not get in the way so much. She has had some further frame modifications and has new torsion axles and tires. Really looks sweet. I will keep you updated on the progress. Please follow along until your addiction brings your next trailer. Ed
