Angry '03 Frame Cracks

My '03 22ft. International CCD has 2 small horizonal cracks where the outriggers attach to the main frame on each side of the step. It appears that a very heavy person has jumped up and down on the step. The main frame dosen't appear bent. Anyone have this problem or possible cause? I've owned a 66 Overlander and a 77 Excell 500. I'm really disappointed in the quality of the newer AS's Help!!!!! Airstray

Can you post a large, clear photo of these cracks?

many INTERrelated issues but at the root is a TOO wimpy frame, osb, no belly pan and sealant integrity.

cheers

Has anyone considered forcing sizable box tubing between the frames forward of the FW tank to bring the frame back to original position and weld it on all possible points? A hydraulic "Proto Power" will spread the frames but the street side frame should be well stabilized. The reason I suggest this stems from Forum reports, "the AS frame fix doesn't solve the problem". Boxing the frame may also help. I've contacted AS and await an answer. Any thoughts?

CCD 22 with sagging rear curbside outriggers

Our 2002 is "listing" on the curb side. I ordered and received but have not installed two new Dexter axles--thinking that was the problem. After running the trailer on ramps--I detected cracked welds on the outriggers and they are sagging about 2 inches.

How in the world can I lift the shell back into a level positions and beef-up the outriggers?

Please, anyone, help me.

Carl

P.S. I explained the listing (not knowing about the cracked welds at the time) to the AS factory repair mechanic when we visited the factory in Jackson Center, OH, and the only recommedaion/diagnosis he had was to check the air pressure to ensure both sides were equal.

Carl, Send the axles back. The AS factory is blowing smoke. As everyone with our frame problem knows, the frame is weak. My '03 22ft. CCD has crack welds, vertical cracks in the frame and buckled frames which have dropped the rearend. I am presently in contact with AS factory, which has sent frame stiffeners, 8 outrigger stiffeners and agreeed to pay for 4 hours labor. I know this will not solve the problem but I'm going along with it to see what happens. Send me a private and I will tell you who to contact. Airstray
