State named Trailers?

I've noticed a couple of trailers with state names on both sides and rear of trailers. Does anyone know if this was a factory install? I sit some type of package? Both trailers are 77's. I have an Alaska and Wyoming trailer pictures.

Never seen this before. I think I can safely that this was not a factory applied option.

It's weird because I've seen 2 different trailers with the same exact letters just different states.

I think folks use to do this to identify their WBCCI units. I've seen similar posts regarding an AS that had either Arkansas Razorback Unit or Arkansas on both sides.

It was often put on the sides of trailers to represent their WBCCI unit or state. Used to see it more often in the 1980's than now
