Galley switch in kitchen - 1978

Hooked up a battery. I have lights. What does the switch marked "galley" over the sink control? Does someone appear and clean all the dishes? Thought it might control the two galley lights, but they have their own switches. Thanks. Jack (1978 Ambassador 28 feet!)

I don't know for sure, but it's probable the water pump.

Depending on where the switch is, you may have two switches for the galley light. One near the main door, and one near the light fixture. That way, you can turn on a light without going inside. Either one will turn the light on and off.

It's either:
(a) a Jetson switch which activates Rosie the Robot
(b) self destruct
