1978 Ambassador: 28' or 29'?
Have a 1978 Ambassador 28'. The ID number describes it as 28', rear bath, double. So why is it referred to as a 29'? Just curious.

I have the same trailer and I don't know the answer either. If anyone asks I just say it is 28'.

Don't feel bad, you have a 28 footer and the forum has a 29' listed for 1978 in profiles. It's a carry over from 1977 when it was a foot longer

A minor glitch, but I've never seen nor heard of a 1978 29'
Their boiler plate to identify the serial number is correct but the length.
Take a close look at the photo of the serial number

I have a 1979 28' Ambassador...and the forum lists only the 29', which according to my user manual, they didn't produce a 29' in 1979. Go figure.
Cheers,
Suzie

Now the 78 Ambassador that Lee posted looks identical in color and appointments as our 77 Overlander 27ft. rear bath. Just a few small variations up front.
Whatever the serial numbers says is how long it is.

Hi All: I emailed the forums and stated that I have a 1979 28' Ambassador according to my VIN, manuals, etc...so they added it to the choices. I am now listed correctly in my user profile.
Just e-mail the 'contact us' at the bottom and let them know they need to add another model to their list...
Cheers,
Suzie

Yay! All is well. They changed my profile to 28'. Now if they will let us have our own 1978 Ambassador heading. Really didn't bother me that much.
