Newbie

Hello,
I just purchased what i think is a 1970 Airstream Ambsador Land Yacht International. Atleast it has all three of those names inprinted on it!!! The side plate by the door has the numbers 04257FJ. The tongue has the numbers PA****2823931.

Ive owned 2 other Airstreams, a 1979 31' & a 1977ish Argosy. Neither were original however, & this trailer looks like a time capsule. My main concern is i have a fresh water leak. Also, i have no clue as to what all the water valves control under the sink & rear of the trailer.

I could use some help with water valves under sink too! I have one valve under that appears to be a drain valve for the fresh water drain. But what doesn't seem right is that the drain is not t the bottom of the tank, so how does it ALL drain out?

Rear bath trailers have big valves which allow you to dump your tanks and other valves which allow you to drain you lines for winterizing. A picture might allow us to do better analysis. There are some owners manuals available on line which might help you.

valve question

Under the sink area I had a valve for the hot and cold water lines to drain for winter as well as a valve below floor surface to drain fresh water tank. Pictures of your question may produce more detailed answer

I will get pictures as soon as I can but for now, what I have is ONE valve that screws on and off and it is near the fresh water tank that I locate from under the kitchen sink. It is connected to lines to the water pump and to the old water filter. I do also see a small tube coming out from under the trailer near that area where I am assuming it drains when that valve is opened. But I'm surprised that it is the only valve to control the drainage. Not sure what else there would or should be, but hoping to get clarity.
Thanks so much!
