Year Model Advice

We're looking for our 1st AS and could use some advice. We love the exterior design of the 1950's but the 1960's seem to be in better shape and generally improved from the earlier models. Thoughts? Is it crazy for a novice to buy something that needs a fair amount of restoration? I know its generally cheaper and less risky to buy one already done but I'd like to do some of the work myself over time. Finally, is there a secret to locating one? We were almost scammed once and 2 more deals fell thru.

Thanks!

Tony,

Do not fret...any year AS will give plenty of opportunities to do "some of the work myself".

Our 63 Safari did and our new in 2004 Classic has kept up the tradition.

Visit the Forum Classfied's, use the search bar above, and take advantage of the expertise of all the folks here and you'll do fine.

Good luck in your search.

Bob
