What's the difference between Excella and ExcellaII

Can anyone explain the difference to me between Exclla and ExcellaII. thanks.

Primarily the years... Excella came out in the early '70s. I believe Excella II came out in the early '80s. Both were the higher trim levels.

I really like this layout. would like the newest year I can tow with my current vehicle a 2007 Toyota Tacoma with max GVWR 6500 lbs. I can't readily find the weights of the 1980's models

Well welcome I have a 1973 excella 500 also have a 2007 tacoma factory weight on the airstream is 6400 dry.I have made it much lighter in the remodel something you should think about.The tacoma is just not up to the task of pulling a 31 footer for to long,I will be getting a full size truck to do a better job.I love the excella which where top of the line for the years put out.

Just purchased a 1989 29' Excella. Weighed it dry as soon as I arrived home. 6250 lbs at local certified scales. There was about 1/2 full propane tanks but no water or waste in either gray or black tanks. This unit also had 2 solar panels installed (75watt). This is weight BEFORE my wife started to "stock" it with kitchen and bedding. Lord only knows what it will top out on weight after stocking. I will weigh again after loading, but anticipate minimum of 500#. Plan on additonal weight with your personal items.

I think I read here that the average family puts in 2000 lbs in there trailer, I would think that includes water but who pulls a trailer with a full water tank, maybe 10 gallons but not 50

Excella was the top of the line untill the Limited series was introduced in 82.

Excella II was produced in the 80-81 model years.

This model was not top of the line, it was between the International and Excella-Limited series.

These two years had a high end model called the Excella-Limited
