What Year and Model is this Airstream

I was sent this picture and that is all I have to go with. I'm not even sure I want to drive the three hours to see it if it isn't worth that much.I looked through the Airstream photos and I can't figure it out.So someone be nice and tell me what year ,model and, a price that its worth.

Thanks!!

Welcome to the forums.

My guess is that you are looking at a 1974 Soveriegn 31'. That trailer is in bad shape. Clearly, someone has already started cherry-picking parts off of it, and I can only imagine the state of disrepair that the interior is in. This trailer may be a candidate for a complete rebuild, but make no mistake--its too far gone to be a "fixer-upper." Asking price should be little more than scrap ($500-1000), and that is assuming there isn't major body damage on the opposite side.

Ditto Belegedhel's comments. Green interior of door? Bet the remainder of the interior is equally ugly.

Yes, most likely 31'. Pre '75 is all I can guess.

Scrap value only. Less than $1000 for sure.

Scrap value only, less the cost of hauling it out of there.

1973-1978 is my best guess. Most of the identifying features are missing.

I am not sure I would even want it if it was free... too many parts missing.

The interior is complete, I think I can get it for free if I continue buying other stuff from the seller.

Does anyone know the wheel pattern for a 1974 Soveriegn 31' ? I want to replace the tires and rims before I pull it home.

The tail lights are gone, parted out? The storage covers are gone, parted out? the rear window looks like it's gone, but the frame remains.

These things alone mean that the inside is probably so wet that mushrooms are growing out of the plywood - and every critter in the woods has made nests, peed and pooped all over the interior. And if the thing hasn't had the leaves (not composted) cleaned off of the top, the corrosion is probably so bad that the corrosion has penetrated the panels.

Someone would have to pay ME to haul this wreck to the junkyard. I've seen one obsessive compulsive owner replace more than half of the exterior aluminum panels, some of the ribs, and the frame and floor of an Airstream. Another vowed to replace every buck rivet on the exterior to eliminate leaks (Capt Tolley's - makes more sense.)

99 out of 100 people who start a restoration on a unit as bad as this - give up. Over the years they've made a LOT of Airstreams, and while they're not common, there are probably 10 better ones within 100 miles of your front door than this one.

Don't fall for the "RARE" and "IRREPLACEABLE" hype. They made lots of these... How sick would you be if you got $15K into restoring this POS and found a barn kept one with all of it's bits and pieces undisturbed? That is the real danger with something that's this badly torn up.

What the heck is that "air conditioner" on the roof?

Yes, look at the frame in the rear - is that separation or some kind of bracing that has nothing to do with the real frame? Anyway it reads as "broken frame" visually... and with the wheels buried that deeply how can you crawl under it to inspect? Sewer cam anyone?

I agree with everyone's comments regarding the model, year, and low value. However, I would like to see any interior photos you might have, just because I am curious and always like to see old hulks like this.

Looks like a 1973, since I had one; not worth more than $500 tops

I think this is a parts trailer if you had another one that needed parts ... From my expirence Look around There is probably one near by that requires a lot less work and $$ to complete . Unless this one is somethiing very special Owned by someone of importance or a special model ... Walk away and look around.

A new one may cost less. This one is in need of a dump.
