TT Insurance Provider

I just bought a 2011 27' FC and will take delivery on Thursday of this week. That gives me a few days to line up insurance and emergency road service coverage. I have AAA coverage for my other vehicles.

I'd appreciate anyone's perspective on Good Sam and other providers of specialized RV / TT policies. Recommendations as well as cautions welcome.

Thanks for the help,

hi geez'

many of the threads in this forum will be useful, scan the titles...

many of the common providers will appear in the headings.

Insurance & Claims - Airstream Forums

a few with recurring specific company reports like these...

with a new unit replacement value in the policy is very important...

more good stuff starting around post 25 here...

don't be confused by the term 'full coverage' which many underwriters will misleadingly use...

in practice this means physical damage coverage and state required parameters...

some use it to imply all the parameters (liability, comp/collision, medical, contents...) are included,

but there is no 'official definition' of full coverage.

the actual $$ value for a total'd unit is often 'book' unless otherwise stated in the policy.

and this will be 1000s less than purchase price, immediately after purchase.

replacement value riders aren't offered by all the underwriters and may add a tiny bit to the total policy price...

but should a newer unit be total'd, full replacement value coverage will soften the financial hit.

and read the actual policy and riders , don't assume the general info from an agent is gospel.

all of the true things that i am about to tell you are shameless lies. l.b.j.

we are here on earth to fart around. don't let anybody tell you any different. k.v.

We are with RV Advantage/Farm City, they know Airstreams, and if your a WBCCI member you get an additional discount. While we have not filed a claim, we haven't had any issues and they are great to work with on the phone.

RV Advantage | FCIS Insurance - RV Insurance, Motor Home Insurance, Travel Trailer Insurance

Be warned of auto policies that cover your trailer, while your auto policy might cover the trailer while it being towed, most won't cover the trailer while it setting in your driveway on in a campground. Get a separate policy for the trailer.

Thanks everyone, I picked up several key factors that I see as very important features of any policy for me. I'll decide upon and buy my policy a lot better informed than I would have been otherwise. I appreciate the help.
