New 2018 AS FC 26U

Hi,

I am looking into purchasing a new left over 2018 AS Flying Cloud 26U with 2 A/C. Cost of RV is $93909 including second a/c unit.

They are marking off $20000 and also throwing in the second A/C valued at $2150.

What would be a good out the door price I could offer. I plan on registering in Las Vegas but purchasing from another state. So Tax title and lic I will pay in Las Vegas.

Is asking $63000-$65000 to low? I’m not trying to low ball at all. Just wanted to ask the pros. What would you ask for?

Thank you.

That seems like a great deal... I don’t think I’d look that gift horse in the mouth too long.

We got a very similar deal buying a new 2016 26U at the end of the model year, paid 68k. We have been very very happy with it. 24 trips in 26 months!

Watch out for the microwave drawer which can slide open while driving allowing the oven to fall. You can search for my post on a fix for this.

I would start at $65K and end at $75...20% off isn’t a stretch. Good luck.

At $20k off plus the second AC they are already doing better than 20%. $73,900. That deal looks pretty good to me.

Let's say it's $93K
They throw in the second air so subtract $2k.
Now you're at $91.
20% of $91 is $18,200.
$91 - $18,200 is $72,800.

I'd say the deal they offered is very fair.
The second air mandates 50 amp power, a huge plus, IMO.
Now, is that what you want? Do you like the colors, layout?
Queen vs. Twins?
Make sure it has Good Year Endurance and not Marathons.

Don't forget you'll be adding sales tax and paperwork, then buying lots of extras like surge protectors, hitch locks, do-dads and maybe a tow vehicle.
Good luck.

Not sure where you are getting this 26U AS, but if you "could" get it for around $68K, that would be a great deal on a 2018, if true! Registering in LV is a plus also...

Not clear on your comments about the 2nd AC; Are they "adding" a second AC unit as an "add on" or does it already have 2 AC's and they are giving you the second one, at no additional charge? If they are adding a second unit, I would be careful about that kind of work being done in the field...it's a big deal to add a second unit in the field...wiring, controller, 50A stuff...vs getting it done at the factory during building. Just saying..

If from a dealer, is this a new unit or used? If used, who was the owner and where was it originally sold?

Thank you for the feedback. My wife and I are looking forward to all the trips we will be making. As for
The microwave, wife and I are getting rid of it, being that we don’t want to radiate our food. Too much EMF, I know, I know, I sound like I have to hug a tree soon. Haha

So the AC unit is already included and installed on the RV, the dealer is trying to “hook” me up with discounting the second unit.

Wife and I are going for it today and see if drove out with it. As mentioned before, since we are registering it in Las Vegas we will also pay the tax on the RV. So hopefully the dealer will budge with a low price offer.

Thank you all for the advice and responses.

Thank you, I’d say you’re in the ballpark of what was offered per say. It’s too long of a story but I never sat down with the guy to negotiate, we will today.
This is what we want, we were sold on a 25RB however, we saw the 26U or RB and were very impressed with the U shape dinette and like the shower and toiler together and not to mention the closet space is bigger on the 26 since I’ll be storing my military uniform there. The cushions got to go, they are truffle and white wants the honey. The backing of the u shape is permanent so it’s ok that it is truffle. It has a queen size bed, we are ordering a Organic Pedic bed from OmiMattress to replace the mattress it comes with. Other than that. I have a truck, and looking forward to buying all the extras. I think the last thing is to order a nice white robe and a Russian ski hat for cold mornings and I’m set

26u

So based on the sticker pictured in the first post this trailer has two ACs, awning package, rear view/backup camera, and is 50 amp. The $94k sticker price sounds about right and the stated $20k discount would be better than 21% off. I would ask how long the trailer has been on the dealers lot and base additional discount for traffic through the trailer. Even though it’s new it is a year old.

To each his own.
I'll bet you could sell it in classifieds.

We thought the included mattresses were just okay. After adding 2" memory foam on top we like them much better.

Well to be honest. My wife is pretty sensitive to smells and things that off gas. So we are going to order one through http://omimattress, that’s where ordered our Organic Pedi mattress for our bedroom. Super comfortable and non toxic mattress without any coils or spring box. Just order the top mattress from one of the brands and we’re set.

This is what we did and it is very comfortable with the added memory foam. Costco is King!
