Importing trailer from USA to Canada

Hello,

I've seen this discussed here but one question I'm specifically curious about. When buying a trailer from the US to import into Canada how do the logistics of plating the vehicle happen?

Scenario is; Trailer has American plates on it. Trailer is currently in Ontario. Both seller and buyer are in Ontario... How does the buyer get the trailer to the states and back so they can cross the border to properly import?

you have to register it here first

we still save over $10k after tax payment

And when registering in Ontario do they give you
Plates and a (temporary, 10 day?) sticker?
