Well,
I was a little off, three of the windows are missing. But my offer is in and I should hear back in a day or two. If it comes home and is brought back to life it will be named "The Iron Giant" due to the dent in its front end. The wife says that the front glass will go around to replace the back window (currently broken plexy) and two port hole windows will go in the front with a dorsal fin too boot.

It will be a fun adventure, either way. I've had an unsuccessful mustang restoration project, but I learned so much from it that I still don't regret doing it. I had a lot more money tied up in it though. Good luck, and we're looking forward to seeing pictures of whatever you can drag home for that kind of price!

Ted, I wish you good luck. But if you get into it and find a nightmare (rotten frame or floor, for example), you can always part it out and help other people keep their Airstreams on the road. Besides, you'd make a profit over your $150 investment!

For example, I'd sure like that nice undented curved roof panel over the "AM" of "AIRSTREAM" in the picture! And there's another guy on this board trying to find a set of window frames (not necessarily the glass) for a '67 Caravel -- I'm thinking some of your Ambassador's frames would suit nicely. There are many other vultures, um, I mean "interested parties" circling as well!
