New York appears to be a title state. Just fill out the form on the title correctly and have it signed. AFA Florida goes, it's prudent to get a bill of sales signed by the seller(s) with all pertinent information concerning the sale. A proper bill of sale will smooth over a lot of glitches in Florida when you go to transfer ownership.
