Ours is a twin sleeper. So there is a passage way from one end to the other. Storage under both sides and beds are easy to make up.

buying a new AS

My first AS was a 2003 25' Safari virtually new. I bought it online for something just north of 50% of new. We kept it 3 years and sold it within a $1000 of what we paid. It had a rear double bed which was a nightmare to make up. We subsequently purchased a 2006 25' Safari (also online) twin bed which is significantly easier to make up. I agree with one of the other posters you need not buy new unless you have piles of money. Once you get the hang of it, you will come up with a list of all the things you would do differently, some of which you can do on the unit yourself. Then if you decide to get another unit, you will still get exactly what you want online or very close. Forget the wax. I have stayed in several parks who have washed and waxed for as little as $125. Unless your name is Bill Gates, don't get the extended warranty.

Travel on and above all be careful out there.
