We bought an F150 extended cab (small rear doors) with a 6.5ft bed. 4x4 with max tow package and 3.5L Ecoboost engine. We haven't towed yet, but the mileage is good (for a truck) around town and not too bad for parking. I attempted parallel parking once in DC and failed! And I have to fold the driver's side mirror to get in the garage. It has more than enough power for 25-27 ft AS and almost 2000# cargo capacity (newer American trucks have better capacity than older or imports we looked at). Even with 1000# on the tongue there should be plenty of allowance for people and cargo. And it is pretty drivable everyday and at a reasonable cost.

Nice. If I go the truck route, that's what I was thinking of. I used to have a Titan for my motocross exploits but that Ford has had my attention for a while...just not sure I want a truck again. HHmmnnnn
