Bathroom Configuration in Airstreams!

Hi, We're looking to buy our first Airstream. When touring various models, we noticed that in most models we felt "cramped" in the toilet space. We're both very tall - husband 6'4". Are we just being too picky?! The 23' FB Flying Cloud model with the bathroom on the South end was the only one that felt comfortable to my husband. Has anyone else experienced this?

hi klausland...

YES most 'stream crappers are cramped.

and u'd be surprised how many folks never use the toilet

the classic in a 30ft layout is one exception, space is pretty good around the head...

have fun shopping and keep SITTING in units till u find a good fit.

cheers

I'm 6'4" as well. Taking a shower requires stooping for me but it works I could sit down but feel better standing under the water. The other thing to check out is bed length. We went to singles rather than a queen because I am wide across the shoulders as well as long and my wife would end up in one corner of the bed saying unpleasant things to me in the middle of the night. Didn't think it would work but we are a lot more comfortable now.

If you find one, let me know, please? I'm 5'17" and I have not seen any trailer (other than a 5th wheel) that I could call comfortable.

Height-wise, that is...

They either lose height due to having the pan sit above the floor by a few inches, or dropping the ceiling with fans, skylights, or such

Thanks everyone! It looks to me like the 28' models are our best-bet for more comfortable space around the toilet. Looking at the floorplans, the 20' flying cloud looks surprisingly good too - unfortunate they don't carry through that arrangement to larger models!
