About how much is a 1991, 25 ft Excella worth? Say it's in pretty good shape. I'm curious if that's a good year. I'm pretty sure their dry weight is 5100 lb. I feel my 2009 F-150 would pull one. Thanks for any input.

What equipment is on it?

Are all the gaskets good?

Especially the sewer vent pipe cover gaskets that only last 2 to 3 years?

Are the rubber rods in the axles OK?

Do all the appliances work "correctly".

Tires?

Brake condition? How many miles on them?

Bearings and grease seals?

Are all the windows glass?

Clearcoat condition?

Body damage?

Rusty frame?

PM records?

The year is OK, but the value, even a "ball park" depends on many things, unless you want a wild guess.

Yes your F-150 would pull it but it depends on your engine and rearend ratio as to how you would do on hills. Our son sold our "old" '91 25' Excella that we gave him about a year ago and he got $12,500 for it and it was in excellent condition. It boils down to supply & demand and condition! Hope this helps. Andy, I am looking at a 91 that has been parked for 4-5 years. Are all of the things on your list going to need replacing? If so, what is total damage? Also, if clearcoat is damaged on top -- will a partial repair work for the AS? If so, how much per foot? I am just learning about the AS and hope to buy one soon.

Be sure to look closely at the axles. Our '97 sat for two years (2008-2009) and was towed infrequently for about 3 years prior to that.

I currently have three new axles on order (ouch)

For appliances look at installed prices at Camping World's web site. That will give you some idea.

Check etrailer's web site for brake prices.

Lots of places to get tire prices.

Axles are probably shot if they haven't already been replaced. Call Inland RV.

Ballpark handicapping figures for evaluating a trailer incl labor:
Fridge 1500
A/C 1000
Axle + brake 1000 (per axle)
Tires 200 ea
Reese dual cam hitch $600
Redo tail turn & brake wiring $200
Replace light fixture $100
Range 500
Converter 500
Furnace $1000
Water heater 500
Water pump 200



Very expensive requiring careful evaluation
- Frame separation
- Water leaks leading to a soft floor, mold, mildew or other rot problems
- Window or door broken
- Refinish clearcoat

In general the more expensive better kept trailers are the better buy. A trailer with accumulated back maintenance as a result of disuse or neglect should be evaluated carefully indeed
