Anyone in Redwood City (CA) to help inspect?

I've been lurking on the forum for a while, and this is my first post here...

I'm looking for a fixer upper A/S in the Bay Area, and this turned up. Airstream 1968

I am out of of the US in Europe, and have a friend who can pay for and pick this up, if it is suitable. Asking price is promising, as it means I can spend more money on the refurb.

The sellers boyfriend has all the relevant details, but is at work till midday. It's shorter than a 31 footer, and looks like an Overlander. Is anyone out there with a few moments to spare, and the knowledge to help?

Cheers

Looks like an Overlander to me. That would be a great price if you can snag it, the lowest I've seen for anything that still has wheels and appears to have most of its parts.

Good luck, hope you can snag it!

At that price, I'd buy it. If it turned out to be a dud, you could turn around and sell for what you paid, probably.

I've got someone over to look at it. I should have it by this evening.

Cheers

The Craigslist posting has been removed, so I'm guessing it was a successful inspection ... congrats!

I'm fairly close but rather busy. I hope it works out for you, a nice entry into a restoration project.

Nope, someone beat me to it.

The search continues.

Thanks for the advice and encouragement.
