airstream rentals in CA?

Anybody know of rentals available in Central to Northern CA? I found one in Paso Robles at Sky River RV, but would like to try out some other floor plans as well. I have already made a reservation with Sky River, but they only have one rental in the 25 to 31 foot range that I think would work best for my family. Any ideas?

You hear of a few places that have fixed locations or may tow to your site/campground. Some Camping Worlds have had basic Airstreams available to rent -- don't know where that program stands right now.

Honestly, Airstream or no, spend a full weekend at one of our rallies in your area. For the broadest experience, sign up on our rally links and reserve a site for your tent, popup or even SOB camp right among fellow aluminuts. There will be a mix of newer, middle-aged and a few vintage at most rallies. A lot of info and other experiences can be gleaned and tours are willingly offered.

We rented a 25' FB at the KOA campground in Santa Cruz last Fall. It was expensive, but worth it to see if we could live in it for 3 days without killing each other - better the (small) expense now than to find out later after we spend the big bucks for a new Airstream

It was pretty cool btw...

We also rented one of the 25 footers at the Santa Cruz KOA. As you say, good way to see how you like it. My recollections: at night even with all the lights on it was extraordinarily dim inside; there was no way to use the head without leaving the door open; hot inside even on a cool day, but very cold at night; and the fit and finish of the interior seemed uneven in quality. Kind of turned me off on new Airstreams. Still like the old ones though.
