Question 99 Bambi---peculiar listing?????

I found a 99 Bambi listed on the Jackson, TN Craigslist for $15,900. Seller has a Memphis area code phone number.

I go to Ebay and check "completed listings" to see if there are comparable items. I find a 98 Bambi that SOLD for $14,900. Look at the listing... and discover that the description is VERBATIM copy of the description on Craigslist. Some of the pics are also IDENTICAL to the ones on CL. The trailer was listed on CL just a few hours after the Ebay listing ended, and yes, I accounted for the time zone difference.

The seller's name on Ebay is the same as that of the seller of a Caravanner I was interested in, also in the Memphis area. The Caravanner was on CL with a link to a Flickr photostream that showed the username.

When I talked to the seller a few days ago, about the Caravanner, he never mentioned the Bambi for sale.

I can't figure out what is going on with the Bambi listings. Only thing I can figure out is that he bought his own Ebay listing, using a different account, when he saw that it wasn't going to sell by the end. Then turned around and listed it on CL.

I'm interested in the Bambi, but this makes me very wary of the seller's truthfulness and general ethics.

Any ideas what could be going on here?

Hard to say, but there have been lots of scams on Craigslist involving 19' Bambis.

Ive bought and sold a lot over the internet, and have run into may scams, one thing for sure if they contact you by email and there english is broken or very poor grammar is used then its most likely a scam. Be cautious.
