2019 Flying Cloud vs 2019 Serenity

We thought we were set to get a 27FBTwin Flying Cloud. I've always liked the interior colors better on the International Serenity (the Espresso UltraLeather, the dark floor, the lighter walls, and the red accents), but we couldn't justify the price just for colors.

The other main difference I see is that the FC has the "airplane" style upper cabinets, and the Serenity has the sliders (the FC upper kitchen cupboards are smaller than the Serenity, btw. I measured.)

This is going to be our full-time home for the next three to five years, if all goes well.

Is there something else about the 2019 Serenity that would tip me farther in its favor?

For what it’s worth we chose the FC because we liked that style of cabinet better. The translucent glass causing all our junk to be somewhat visible and the sliding door partially blocking access didn’t work as well for us. It’s a personal thing.

We chose to put the money we saved into a vastly upgraded electrical system with solar, lithium, hybrid inverter, etc.

We love our cabinets, everything stays very secure while on the road, never can open by themselves

We found a used Serenity while looking at the FC models and sine the price was close, selected the Serenity. The colors are more important to my bride - who is very happy with the look/feel of the coach. That is a big deal to her and nary does she say: "shudda, coulda, woulda" in that context. Personally, I like the slide cabinets, but understand the attraction of the airplane-style. Hard to go wrong, with either.

Ooh, didn't think about the sliders...sliding while underway. I think we're going to go with the FC, and use that money, as Daleyocum suggested, toward upgrades in the solar etc. Any smaller upgrades - like redoing the cushions or counter top or coat hooks won't come anywhere near the cost of upgrading the trailer itself.
