2010 Model Release Timeframes?

Anybody know when we can expect to see 2010 model Airstreams?

In a normal economy, they started anywhere from April to early June. However, from what I have heard, the factory has had some significant down time. I would guess depending on demand it might be around the usual times.

My suggestion would be to call the factory and ask.

I understand the factory now has ramped up to a better production rate after a slow winter. The factory would probably refer you to a dealer -- see Airstream, Inc :: Travel In Style. We have a fair amount of participation by Airstream of Arkansas. ....Used to by Roger Williams in the Dallas area but not so much any more.

I agree with Silvertwinkie. The 2010s should be available any time within the next month-plus. A new build ordered now certainly could be planned to come off after 2010 production begins.

It's been such a topsy-turvy economy that it's hard to say there'll be much difference in book value between an '09 or a '10. Find the features you like and adventure off into the sunset!

I'm hoping that the imminent release of the '10s will put increasing downward pressure on the prices of leftover '08s, which seem to still be somewhat plentiful.

I like your attitude, Bob. You said almost exactly what my wife's 75-year-old (and still very healthy) aunt said to us a couple of weeks ago. Don't wait for the "right time," because it'll almost certainly never come. Just do it already!

Also, I haven't called to verify, but it seems that Roger Williams Airstream has fallen off the face of the earth. The car dealership is still there, but since David left, I don't think they were able to find a sales manager with the same degree of passion and ability. Now I'm stuck with ExploreUSA RV SuperCenter in Denton and a really nice salesguy who didn't know how to deploy the awnings on an Airstream. I probably won't be buying there...

Mac, though it may seem they've "fallen off the face of the earth" -- they haven't. For the time being, they have stopped selling our beloved Airstreams, but they continue to service them. We were lucky enough to have David help us select our 27FB, but he left before we closed the deal. Denver and Robert have been unbelievable and a wealth of knowledge. If we're lucky, they'll begin to sell them again when the economy rebounds. We visited the salesguy in Denton, and yes, although he's very nice, would need years of homework to get to the level of familiarity as Denver or Robert Haberzettle at Roger Williams. I'd probably head for the Airstream of Arkansas first. Just my two cents.

You might see the 2010 models sometime in June or July!

Thanks for the guidance. I feel like a jerk saying this, but after our first visit to Denton I knew I wasn't going to buy there unless they made me a screamin' deal, and I was 99% sure I wasn't going to have any service done there. I'm glad to hear that Roger Williams is still doing service, as it was my plan to have our new rig serviced either there or in Dublin.

Now just to find that trailer...
